When we Meet

Text Box: Though we do have our own traditions, we hold to no denominational label. We are striving to be JUST CHRISTIANS. When someone believes the gospel message (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), changes the direction of their life (Acts 17:30-31), and then identifies with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus in the act of immersion in water (Romans 6:1-4), they are a Christian, a child of God and a recipient of his promise of eternal life (Galatians 3:23-29).

We Believe

Text Box: The Johnstown Church of Christ is first and foremost a Family bound together by the Love of God. We are a people who are trying our best to follow God’s will through his written word, the Bible. Our plea is to follow the New Testament as a guideline for living. Though we are human and do "fall short of the glory of God", we strive to be like Jesus in our daily lives. We believe the BIBLE is God’s Inspired Word and has been given to ALL people for their guidance.

Our Focus

 

Text Box: We meet each Sunday for Bible class and Worship. Classes are available for nursery through adults. We join together in prayers and our music is acappella, a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary devotional songs. We remember the great sacrifice of Jesus by partaking in the Lord’s supper each week and then a sermon is preached from God’s word, the Bible. You will find a friendly , comfortable atmosphere in which you can be spiritually refreshed and God can be given praise.
